Pie Night: A Pretty-in-Pink Friendsgiving

Drinks and ice

  • Rosé sangria: recipe
  • Cranberry-pomegranate spritz, alcohol-free as written (top with prosecco instead of soda for a cocktail): recipe

Heart-shaped strawberry cubes

Freeze a thin strawberry or raspberry slice in heart-shaped silicone molds. For the sangria, freeze some of the rosé itself in a tray so the pitcher stays cold without getting watered down. A few edible rose petals in the spritz cubes finish the look.

Make ahead

  1. 1 week before: Send the invite: "Bring a pie." Track who's bringing what so you don't end up with six pumpkins.
  2. 1 day before: Make the sangria and the rosé ice. Bake the mini pies.
  3. Afternoon of: Set the dessert table with cake stands at different heights and number cards for voting.
  4. 1 hour out: Build the cheese board.
  5. Guests arrive: Each pie gets a number. Vote after everyone's had a taste.
