A bridal shower hosting checklist
A shower is a two-to-three-hour daytime party. Here’s what to have handled by the week before.
Four to six weeks out
- Confirm the date and guest list with the bride (and whoever else is co-hosting).
- Send invites with the registry link, so guests aren’t asking you for it one by one.
Two weeks out
- Plan the food: brunch or light bites, one signature drink and a cake or cupcakes.
- Pick one or two activities, like advice cards or a short game.
The week of
- Send a reminder to anyone who hasn’t answered, and a final headcount to whoever is cooking.
- Assign one person to write down who gave which gift during the opening. The bride will need it for thank-you notes.
