Showers

Baby shower games people actually enjoy

Good shower games are short, easy to join and don’t put anyone on the spot. Two or three is plenty.

Games that run themselves

  • Guess the date and weight: a card at the door, a winner announced when the baby arrives.
  • Advice cards: guests write one piece of advice or a wish for the baby. It becomes a keepsake.
  • Baby photo match: guests bring their own baby photo and everyone guesses who’s who.

One game for the whole room

  • Pick one group game, like a short trivia round about the parents-to-be, and keep it under 15 minutes.
  • Have a small prize ready (a candle, a nice chocolate bar) so the winner gets a moment.

What to skip

  • Anything that involves measuring the guest of honor or tasting mystery food. Ask her first if you’re unsure.
